Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a therapy that is based on the ancient Chinese belief that there is a universal life energy called Qi
(chi) present in every living creature. This energy is thought to circulate throughout the body in specific pathways called
meridians. As long this energy flows freely throughout the meridians, health is maintained, but once the flow of energy
is blocked, the system is disrupted and pain and illness occur. Imagine rivers that flood and cause disasters.
Acupuncture works to restore normal functions by stimulating certain points on the meridians in order to free up
Qi energy.
Acupuncture is an effective therapy that can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions. Some examples include:
Low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, know pain, shoulder pain, headache, jaw pain (TMJ), arthritis,
nausea and vomiting, hypertension, allergies, sinus pain, plantar fascitis and many more.
